I'm going on a trip to Linden,Tennessee for the tennesse ralley i want to bring my hamster?

We are staying in a cabin so i thought hey why not bring my hamster she can get away with me from my dogs and cat*they try to eat her so she is always locked up in my room*. i live in clarksville so it should only be about a 2 hour drive.
