What Is TelNet ? Which Protocol Is Used As A Replacement For TELNET ?
Telnet is an older application\protocol used to execute commands on remote systems, it's still widely used, though consider insecure because everything (including pwords) is transfered in plain text. The more modern replacement is SSH.
