What do you remember about your Mothers cooking?

My Mother was a very good cook, made everything from scratch, she made excellent Reuben sandwiches, I remember watching her make fresh bread, kneading, and kneading the dough, excellent bread. Do mothers do that anymore? Or has the microwave oven, fast food, and frozen foods taken over our lives? What do your children think of your cooking?
