Is doing Pointe on tile floor bad?

When I practice pointe I normally do so on a hardwood floor. Is is slippery enough as it is but I can't imaging trying to on a tile floor. Unless the tile is the textured stone stuff (not the shiny stereotypical bathroom and kitchen floor) I think you'd be fine. It may be easier if you find somewhere with that or even hardwood. You are right about the pressure on your foot on a hard surface. My dance studio uses a more boient floor to make is easier but there is one with a dance may over tile and it is harder to dance on. It's probably not considered 'bad' to dance on in long terms so you should be fine. Have fun and don't give up with pointe! I'm sure that you will improve overtime. Just always think confident :).

hello I am thinking of bringing home a Eurasier to my family=). I have been looking into this particular breed for quite sometime and i found that this breed is a great companion dog. When I was younger i owned a Bichon. This breed was loving, warm, independent, ready to play and ready to relax with you. When i grew older i had neighbors that had two Eurasiers and found them truly fascinating dogs. Question about winrar files and nero burning rom?

I have downloaded a movie that came in as winrar files and now I would like burn it onto a dvd-r, when I click on the winrar files it extracts them and plays them fine on media player ( so I know the files are O.K)...but when I try to use Nero 6 (Nero Burning Rom) there are no files in Video_TS ...when I try to add files it tells me that the files aren't compliant...Do you need to compress or decrypt these files....I'm fairly new to this process and basically wondering if there is any way to burn these winrar files??? I am a terrible hypochondriac, and every now and then i fixate on some illness and stress to myself that I have it. Even though I know beyond logical doubt that not only do I not have it, the chances of getting it are insanely miniscule. Today I'm haunted by the human form of mad cow disease. No matter how I convince myself there's no way I have it, my mind just keeps thinking I have it and it terrifies me. I constantly smoke pot, but I don't know if this is causing my fear or not. Here's another thing, I've been doing things weirdly in the past few days. Like- I say gramatically incorrect phrases (which isn't typical because I typically come of as rather smart and make good grades) I've been doing weird things - for example- I put a paper towel roll in the fridge, or I leave faucets on, and seem to just feel different lately. My cousin and I have known each other since we were two. And for 18 years, I endured psychological, financial, and occasionally physical torture and being used by the guy for money and rides. My atiel Henry (not the one in this pic) has a really weird habbit its hard to explain but here it goes, he would stick the back toe of either foot into his mouth (one at a time) and underbite the sharp part of his beak onto the lower part of his beak and breath in (if u know what i mean) and will continuously do it! Do you need a wetsuit to surf?

It really depends on your surf spot and preference. I live in Florida which sucks because the waves are small but the water in the summer is never really so cold you have to abandon the board shorts and throw on a wetsuit except for some rare occasions. I know some people who wear wetsuits unless the water is at least 80 degrees but it's all because they get cold easily and trying to surf when cold blows. If you surf in the Pacific a wetsuit is an absolute necessity. The entire Pacific Ocean is deep so the water tends to be cooler. Most of the time you will need a wetsuit at least covering your upper body and throw on some board shorts below. I wouldn't ever wear a wetsuit if I didn't have to because unless you pay top dollar your wetsuit will make it harder to bend and stretch. If you're like me you surf almost year round so in early spring and fall it's never warm enough to leave the wetsuit at home. Hope that helps.

Car will not start help please?

I own a 1995 mitsubishi Galant, Auto, fuel injected. and recently i added a turbo. this happening i had the ex-oust down pipe run kinda by the alternator but seemed to have no problem.and when ever i try to start the car i hear a click sound which is my starter trying to engage, i checked my starter and solenoid. they work fine, i checked the battery its good, and the connections seem fine and i ran out of things to check can you guys help thanks. oh and does the connections to the alternator effect the starting?

Discharge Instructions from L&D .. Preeclampsia, question?

I'm 31 weeks 1 day. I was discharged last week after a 4 day stay due to preeclampsia. My doctor told me if I had headaches that wouldn't go away with tylenol, upper gastric pain, etc to come back in. I was wondering if that had to be accompanied by high blood pressure. My blood pressure is staying 140's over 80's/90's sometimes. I currently take 500mg of Aldoment 2x's day. My blood pressure has been pretty normal for me all day but I have this headache since I woke up & I have taken tylenol all day to try to ease it. Drank plenty of water, napped, etc. Nothing helps. I called L&D and their new policy is they can not give advise over the phone. I have an appointment in the morning at 11, so I didn't want to go in & be there all night if it's possibly something that can wait til in the morning. But at the same time, I have to do whats best for the baby! He is still very active and I feel completely normal except for the headache. Maybe just a normal pregnancy headache? What do you guys think!?

Zoning Question on Multi-family home?

I am having trouble with the city about the zoning of my home. I have searched everywhere for this answer with zero luck......I live in Indiana and would like to know what utilities a residence legally has to have to be considered habitable. Clean running water? Electricity? Heat? I know a family that has had their gas shut off for months now due to nonpayment, they heat water on an electric griddle for baths for their children and say that they will just use multiple space heaters to heat the entire house during the bitterly cold winter months instead of reconnecting the gas. I fear that their water and electricity both may get shut off soon due to nonpayment as well. I am worried about the 3 children that live there permanently and the other 5 children that visit their parents there every other weekend. Can anyone offer any info? Maybe a good person to ask even? Disturbing Dreams?

I rarely dream and when I do it's either something ridiculus (ex., I once had a dream in which I was teaching a gymnasium full of monkeys how to squaredance) or seems frighteningly real but is not relevent to my life in anyway. These "real" dreams are disturbingly vivid and lack the flaws or absurdities of "normal" dreams. In them I am always someone else and it feels as if I am living someone else's life or reliving their memories. I've had these type of dreams my whole life and have had many dreams that have been reoccuring over the course of several years. I've never given them much mind, but there starting to creep me out. I'm 19 years old and the question that has been on my mind for awhile is "Should I Get More Piercings". I believe that I deal with pain better than most people but not as good as some people. I got my ears pierced for the very first time when I was 13. The pain was as bad as a shot from the doctor (you know the kind where moments after your arm feels like someone punched you hard and left a bruise?), I believe most of the pain was due to shock and the fact that I had stud earrings (so the back of the earring was right up against my ear lob). Or should I just get my cartilage and nose pierced? Well I would definitely stay away from straightening or anything to damage your hair for awhile. Taking some of the heat off should help your hair grow faster. I found this stuff from the salon that I think works wonders it's made by Roux and you can find it on amazon.com. The stylist called it The Pink Stuff. I use veterinary fleece for some of my piggies, with newspaper underneath, others have newspaper, and another is on towels at the moment. I clean them out every day, and wash the fleece and towels each time. The fleece will keep your piggies dry, but you will need to have newspaper underneath to soak up the pee; it doesn't get wet on top, but it does underneath. Towels just get wet if you leave them, so you need to wash them too, and have newspaper underneath.

Employer made a mistake, paid my city taxes and now asks for reimbursement. Is this legal?

So I work in a restaurant and the corporate office let my manager know that they forgot to withhold city tax on all of the employees' paychecks. They put it all on him, had him write a letter demanding the amount we supposedly owe by way of a check made out to the restaurant. Most of the people in my restaurant do not speak English and have very little agency to protect themselves. Besides that most would be in such a low tax bracket that if the company had correctly filled out our W-2's most would have gotten tax refunds from the city back. Since the restaurant paid the amount, clearly a new W-2 for each person cannot be filled out and thus although we all would more than likely have gotten a partial refund, we are forced to reimburse the restaurant for the full amount. The corporate office has been shady about it from the beginning, originally submitting amounts based on this years tax of 2.25% although the tax last year for 2009 (the year in question) was only 2%. They fixed the problem and resubmitted our amounts, but I just don't understand how they didn't catch that in their accounting of the taxes they are owed... just randomly demanding 2.25% of everyone's income without paying attention to tax percentages??? I only owe $120 but there are low-income people who are now expected to submit a check for anywhere from $80-$900 to corporate. Do they have any legal support to demand reimbursement from us when it was their mistake and they aren't accounting for potential refunds? I'm attending law school next year and will probably be contacting my tax law professor, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything on here as well. Thanks for any help you can give!!!

How do i stop my german shepherd pup from going crazy!?

We keep the german shepherd puppy out at night its 14-15 weeks old and we have a little Lhaso apso that is 10 years old and we keep her in the house. My son's girlfriend just delivered her baby. My son went to every dr appt. listened to the baby's heart beat, saw the baby on the ultra sound, felt her kick, was in the delivery room, he held her first, he put the first diaper on her, and he loved her long before she was born. He even bought her first dress ( among many other things). He found out while taking a smoke break during labor that his girlfriend had slept with at least 3 other people during this time. There were several other major issues that came up, things that he could not live with. He turned against her immediately. He still went back into the delivery room, rubbed her back, fed her ice, put cool towels on her brow even though he learned all these things. He decided on the spot that there was no future for them but he was going to be decent about the whole thing. He stayed for the baby. His plan was to claim the baby no matter what because he loves her so much. My son spent the night at the hospital after the baby was born. He was ok because he had no qualms about claiming the baby. He went home the next afternoon. Two hours later the girl had another man(possibly the father) to stay the next night at the hospital with her. This possible father wants the baby too. The baby looks nothing like my son therefore he is almost certain he is not the father. We think the baby may be bi racial because each day her color gets darker. We are not prejudice, it is just a definite sign that my son is not the father. We do wonder if maybe the baby is a touch juandiced. She has used him all up. The girlfriend admitted to all of it. My son is so broken. How can I help him? He says he feels as if he actually had a child that has died. He stayed up crying until 6 am. He can't look at baby commercials. He can't look at the many pictures of him with the baby at the hospital. Do I encourage him to get a dna test? It is doubtful. The girls mother said that the girlfriend was tanned looking when she was born, so maybe that could be the deal? Dna test or forget it and try to carry on? Those are all adorable. But what I did with my girls (including almost 2 week old identicle twin girls) was a basic (cheap) and adorable pattern. I painted the background brown. Then on one wall I painted Pink and Green Stripes, on the 2nd wall, I painted Pink and green hearts, on the 3rd wall, I painted pink and green circles, and the 4th (with the doorway), I just kept it plain brown. Asian dramas with underdog heroines?

I'm getting into Asian dramas lately. I like the romance genre, in particular with heroines who're sort of the underdog/have tough cirstances. For instance, Hana Yori Dango, where the heroine was really poor whereas the hero was filthy rich, or A Wolf's Tale, where the heroine was a country girl who just moved to the city whereas the hero was really popular/well-established in her high school. I tried Full House but had to quit somewhere in episode 2 (just didn't like the characters, especially the heroine). I really liked Autumn Tale (hero/heroine grew up together, were separated, and reunited--hero had a pretty good, easy life, heroine really had to struggle) and Coffee Prince (again, very wealthy, easygoing hero and a younger heroine who is working to provide for her family). It is a bit deeper than it seems but basically it begins by talking about how much we like to talk about the past, those who died for us and before us and how we must strive to preserve what they sought to give us. He moves on to how our own children are our responsibility and how everything we do impacts them. We are now the ones who are working toward their future and when we are dead, they will talk about us, what we tried to do and how they can move forward from that. It is about continuation and how we can look forward a bit into the future which isn't even real yet. So history in that our now is built upon all the time past and the hope is our own children and the knowledge, dreams, and aspirations we p on to them.

putting ur priorities in schools like Berkley and UCLA where most people who apply have 4.0+ GPAs is not the best idea. sur you should apply to them if u think u have a chance, but ur life does not rely on which college u went to. if u want to be a doctor, they dont care about ur college, they care about ur med school, and that med school cares about ur college grades. same goes for lawyer and law school. u can obviously still go to state college like CSU long beach for example and then if u do good there, and u still want to go to a UC and pay more for the education, u have the ability to transfer out after like 2 years i think. point is, dont stress out, try to focus on ur grades and if u need help. get tutoring. and for ur own good, do not put ur hopes up for UCs, especially when they are hard to get into and will soon cost about 15k a year
